Recommendation on headhunting services provided by Mark steenhoff
Previous experience using non retained sourcing efforts had not delivered the desired results. We therefore decided to engage the services of an experienced headhunter that specialized in technical, engineering and construction personnel.
We engaged Mark Steenhoff of Talent advance in a specialist head hunt for a senior estimator in early 2016. The reason we went with a retained search, was to ensure that we covered the market, sourced the best candidates and used a process that facilitated the most efficient and professional approach.
I found the headhunting process to be successful in that I was confident, on review of the comprehensive list of potential candidates and the companies for whom they worked, that we had covered the market and I was able to pursue the best of what was available. Regular interaction with Mark insured that might me exactly what I was looking for and was able to screen all the candidates,saving me time in that I only interviewed the most likely candidates. Mark worked with me to structure the interviews such that I got the most value out of the interviews.
The search had it’s challenges in that we had to put the search on hold for a period. Mark was flexible in this regard. Once the search was reengaged, we made a successful appointment within 2 months.
I would recommend Mark as an experienced professional headhunter and we will certainly use mock again in the future.
